Hi Guys,
Doing alot more UFH jobs and one of my pet hates is damming in the SLC. I usually use old strips of plasterboard or tile battons siliconed to the floor. This can be easily lifted in the morning. Its easy when you have tilied down to floor. What do you guys do??
I've just laid self-levelling compound (Wickes Master Latex) ranging in thickness from 3mm to about 8mm. This was laid to encapsulate a heated floor element and to level the floor surface.
The SLC is on top of a 12.5mm layer of Aquapanel, which is laid with a 3mm bed of waterproof tile...

hi, im about to embark on my first concrete floor job and could be doin with some info please.

Hi all, I levelled part of a floor the other day for a customer who is having karndean laid. Half the floor was ply over boards and the bit I levelled was concrete. I used mapei tradeplan slc, the two part system. The customer has phoned me tonight saying cracks have appeared in the slc. Is this...
Hi
have read a lot of mention of using SLC over UFH mat/cable. Is it essential or can I just use tile adhesive in place of SLC? ie cover the mat with adhesive before then applying the adhesive bed that will take the tiles?
Cheers
Jon
Still getting my head around the product range. I have a floor to do, 600 X 300 porcelain on solid floor, just lifted old tiles and there are a couple of hollows so prefer to slc it for nice level surface. Would adesilex p4 do for both slc and adhesive? Do I need to prime old adhesive/old slc...
Can I use a spiked roller for applying Mapei Latexplan slc over loose wire UFH, or will it damage the wires?
I do not own a roller (yet) and do not know if the spikes would cause damage? Any other alternative ideas?

hi i was wondering if anyone can tell me of a good but fairly cheap slc to go onto a concrete floor. The lowest point being around 10mm from the highest point.I'm covering about 6m2 and is a kitchen. Im using ceramic tiles on top with a rapid set. I can get to a CTD however if wickes or b&q do...
Long shot I know, but if anyone is near Grimsby or Scunthorpe I have two thirds of a 25kg bag of Mapei Ultraplan Maxi and 2x Marmox 6mm insulation boards to give away (collection only). PM me if interested
As per my other post, my customer wants to have under floor heating from a company called Heat Mat. He also thinks he should have SLC over the mat, and in fact that’s what I was planning. But, I’ve looked on their website and their suggested construction is either with or without SLC. The...

I’m planning on :-

Flexible adhesive laid as a solid bed
Self levelling compound (SLC) / smoothing compound
The electric cable matt with...
