Hi,
Any ideas how I would attach a foam backer board (or indeed any type of backer) along the right side of the window in the attached picture.
The right side is about 130 mm.

I have just moved into a 1950s build (1930s design) block of flats. All windows have a tile windowsill, original feature as all hundred odd flats have it. With time, they have suffered a bit, and I want to revive them colour wise, and refresh the grouting (even if it is with a grouting pen) I...
Hi,
Planning on tiling with a "border tile" along the top. It's an inset area with a sink, 2 internal corners and 2 exposed edges of the tiles.
I'm struggling to work out how to finish the exposed edges. I was planning on using white trim, but that doesn't look right continuing up to the...
Hi all,
I laid porcelain outside tile earlier (https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/gar...-outdoor-porcelain-tile-600x600x20mm/p/484571) but noticed a small chip on it. Is there any way to repair it to prevent me from taking it up and relay? #

Hey everyone!
Just want to say first of all that I am not a tiler or anything I’m just in need of some advice if possible!
My parents got their chimney breast done in Split Face Slate Tiles and I’m not sure if this is how it should have been left, I’ll try and attach images but there is a lot of...
How smooth does the floor surface need to be before laying porcelain tiles?
I have removed tiles and theres bits of adhesive stuck to the floor causing small bumps, theres a few pits too. Can I lay tiles straight over this?
I'm currently dealing with the contractor from hell who has ruined job after job in my house. The latest installment is the bathroom tiles. The tiler came in and threw the tiles on the wall and floor; no spacers used, different space between every single tile, rough adhesive, squint tiles and...
Hi everyone, sorry if this is an incredibly stupid thing to ask:
I have some old 18mm floorboards, on top of which I plan to lay aquapanel.
I was going to use some kind of cement-based flexible adhesive between the floorboards and the panel (haven't decided exactly what yet), and I'm sure I need...

Hiya. DIY idiot here. We've installed some nice new tiles on our floor. We then grouted with Mapei Ultracolor Plus (Silver Grey).
There's a lot of white residue left behind after cleaning with a cement residue remover, and the grout feels a little bit chalky.
I don't know whether we're on the...

I want the wiring that powers my house to be appropriately buried under tiles. So, I am considering hiring this emergency electrician Bristol wide. It’s my first time hiring one. How do I know that I got the right expert for my needs? Emergency Electrician Bristol - Hire The Experts -...
How many leveling clips and wedges would you recommend per tile and what sort of gap would you leave between clips if you have 1200x600 12mm think porcelain tiles?
I have approx 14sqm of 200 x 100 ceramic metro tiles to grout, tiles are 6mm thick with 2mm spacers.
Would a 5kg bag of grout (Mapei Keracolor) cover it? I've used a couple of grout calculators online which say I need less than 5kg but this just doesn't look enough to me?
Have to order this...
Hi everyone,
The floor tiles I have are 600x600 white gloss which have a slight rounded edge to them so how do I get a purfect grout lines? will the normal wash with sponge achieve this just like the flat edge tiles or do I need a tool to do this?
