Done same myself a few years ago, went into toolbox for hammer and caught my knuckle on sharp end of padsaw, that wouldn’t stop bleeding either

Super glued it now- real real man!!
Stung like hell but nothing compared to the pain of catching it 20 times an hour when that flap starts drying and curling.

At least my trench finger has gone now!
