Mike, Yes the gap between the floor tiles and wall tiles should be siliconed but TBH if it was so then i wouldnt see the water leaking out and I'd be oblivious to this!

I sprayed the shower head here

There is only 1mm of gap at the most between the tiles on wall and all around the tray so its hard to get any substantial bits of Silicon where the uprights go, as said previously I think that as the gap I have filled behind the uprights was such a small gap the slightest movement has caused the seal to fail. ? I coldnt put a big blob on as the fitter put the u shaped fixing right down to the bottom of the tiles, infact it was resting on the tray.Perhaps the fitter disturbed or scraped the sealant putting the cubical back on?

looking at the picture above again is the shower glass inside the channel fixed to the wall? usually there is a chrome section on the end of the glass on the shower enclosure that fits snugly into the wall channel. it doesn't look like that in the picture

I think it is there, it's just the enclosure is pushed right back into it.
See if the water is coming out of the channel on the outside. Where the enclosure sits into the u shapped wall channel.

This is what the shower enclosure is like and how it fits to wall (View from top)

The u shaped wall chanel is hidden with the enclosure.

i've never seen one where the channel fits into the enclosure, always the enclosure into the channel

That was my first thoughts. Don't think i've ever fitted one like that before. But it is bathstore, i've fitted quite a bit of there furniture, that can be quite challenging!
