I know this has been covered before, but I thought id start a recent thread to encourage newbies on what can be achieved, Also to encourage myself as things are tight at the moment. So just tell us your success storys , how you started up, how long you been going, have you made a good living in tiling and how you came to be in the position you are now? I guess just to inject a bit of positivity as i know some members including myself are questioning wether to bite the bullet:thumbsup:

My only success has been having my 2 kids, meeting my wife, getting married and getting ready for my 3rd nippa. Other than that its all been s hite 🙂)

:bigcry: Thats beautiful man,you rock my world.

I hear Raj has had some success,he's found a place that make great lifts(stuff you shove in your shoes to make you look taller)He is now nearly 5"4.

on a serious note ive had a difficult start into tiling i started as an apprentice 4 years ago and ive been working for a few firms which i wouldnt imagine i thought i would have been settled there for years to come due to shortage of work once i finished my apprenticeship then the firm laid all the apprentices off so i have been sub contracting to a few firms around the north west obviously ive made some mistakes along the way and the reason im going alone is because of tiling firms not taking on tilers anymore and with all these poles and course tilers coming in (jokin) I want to try and gain a valuable reputation now im still living at home so i dont have any bills to pay really so im prepared to stick at it and hopefully work will come. i feel for the guys on here who havea had a tough time with work recentley especially with bills to pay
