just a very loud grating noise and a bang here in crosscrake, but my glass of red was doing some wobbling on my chair arm I must say!

I experienced one a few years back with the house shaking. Felt like a very large steam roller going past the door. Why a steam roller would be going past the door at 1am didn't enter my mind

we've had 2 earthquakes in Stoke in recent years. one was around 2002/03 and it sounded like a train coming straight through the flat we were living in at the time and the second one was when we lived in our previous house. it only really wobbled freestanding things, but we hand coathangers hanging on the wardrobe door handles and they shook violently for about 10 seconds. wooden coathangers too. that's what woke me up.

earthquakes occur in the UK and usually where we least expect them.

I also have a natural disaster theory - every January, somewhere in the world there will be a natural disaster whether it be earthquake, volcanic eruption, tsunami and so on. So keep your eyes peeled in January to see what happens 🙂
