Hi everyone, i'm tiling a bathroom floor onto ply, the tiles are ceramic, 430 x 430 x 10mm, what size trowel should i use, also
the same tiles are going onto the walls, (they can), what size trowel should i use for the walls please..?

I'd use a 10mm round notch on the floor (don't forget to backskim the tiles also) and a 10mm square notch on the walls. The round notch will do both, so no need to buy 2 trowels, just my preferences. Just to add, is your floor deflection free, how thick is the ply and what adhesive/grout are you using?

The walls are fresh skim, so nice and flat, i was gonna use a mapei tub ad but coz of size, i'm not so sure, for the floor i'll use a cement based powder, what would you reccomend and what grout please..?

Always use a flexi adhesive for the floor

For the walls use a standard set powered adhesive white

Good Luck

Do you assume because fresh skim that they are flat? i often find this can be the worst surface to tile on to! Get a 1.8 meter feather edge or level over it and check the walls are ok! I would go with 10mm round notch trowel for both walls and floor IF they are straght! 🙂
