Wet room floor problem

We recently moved into a house which has an existing first floor wet room installed about 5 years ago via social services. The wet room and floor appeared fine for the first 12 months but a couple of weeks ago we noticed that the Altro vinyl flooring had come away from the wall below the capping strip on the wall tiles.

We have had several quotes from companies who say they are wet room floor specialists - these range from £380 to replace the flooring (extra for marine ply) up to £1500 to replace the flooring, ply and add an extra course of tiling as this company suggested that the tiling had been applied too high in the first place. Some have suggested that the toilet and radiator needs to be removed as well, others have not.....

One plumber has suggested resticking the flooring with contact adhesive and Silicon under the capping but we are concerned as it is a first floor bathroom as to whether this will hold or not.

Could anyone give us some advice as to where to go from here - we are in South Yorkshire and would appreciate if anyone knows a reputable wet room floorer that might be able to help us.

Thanks

Without pictures it's difficult to see the real problem. Altro can go up the wall to any height but is usually 100-150mm high then a trim to the bottom of the wall tiles.
I'd go with the contact adhesive, Silicon joint and use the other £1450 to have a holiday!
The question is - is it leaking and what damage has any water already done?

Thanks so much timeless john for replying, there are NO leaks etc at present?

I've just had another bloke quote me £300 plus VAT to replace flooring but this sounds a bit too cheap?

The dimensions of the room are approx 8ft long by about 5 foot wide, I'm just so confused by all the information I'm getting from various companies, I'm not sure who to believe?

I know in the long run something needs to be done but I don't want to get screwed etc over the job, I'm not adverse to paying for a decent job but I also don't wish to pay out a huge amount if the job can be done professionally and at a reasonable price?

Can the capping be replaced without removing the wall tiles etc?

What would you say is a reasonable price to replace the vinyl flooring and possibly the marine ply floor boarding for that sort of size room and would the toilet etc have to be removed also?

Thanks for your time it's much appreciated.:hurray:
