walls or floor first

do you not find bottom course looks "patched in"? when I've done it that way I've struggled to get a smooth joint where new grout meets old. imo

I have always done the floor first and then the walls, I have huge dust sheets that cover the floor to stop crap getting in between the tiles. Then tile the walls and grout the walls. Prefer this to get the wall tiles meeting nice against the floor tiles. Then grout the floor.

Just the way I like to do it, not saying it's right or wrong, just the way I like it

I Tile walls first from battons up leaving bottom row out,then put floor down and grout.cover up well with what ever keeps it clean and protected and then put last/bottom row of wall tiles in then grout the full walls in one go thats how i do them but people have different methods its what ever you find best,horses for courses and all that

I always try to do walls first. You don't have to worry about dropping stuff or making a mess of your new floor that way.
