Seeing as most of us usually work alone, unless on site. I was wondering other tilers thought's on this subject. How about spacers?

I have had clients questioning before "Dont you use spacers?". I like to use Baton as gravity always wins or at least trys lol. I prefer pegs. That said i have on site to keep up with the jones tiled without either.

Then seems site work allows a snag from 2m where private snags are more eagle eyed with in a 2inch distance.

I draw a line around the room at first tile level and cut tiles to that,i use Rubi wedges to get the level and i use cross headed spacers all the time.Domestic work mostly.

i imagines it's just down to personnel preference, as said have done both have'nt really seen a substanial time saving either way.

well if its a concrete wall you will need to plug and screw the batons to yhe wall or use baton stands.

not used baton stands before, i use the screws and plugs you just knock in with hammer and they self fix

Use a level and prop it up with the tiles before you use them. I've still got the swan vesta match sticks for spacers!

Datum round the room then guage stick to bottom cut tile, set baton at that height using baton stands and tile away using spacers of desired thickness.

When using bagged gear I always baton round the room. I like to leave my bottom cuts till after I've done the floor. Using tubbed gear I just draw a line and tile away. Granfix supergrip will hold anything, best nonslip adhesive I've come across:thumbsup:

I always use 2mm cross spacers. I like the plasplugs ones
