Aaaaaarrrggghh i really wish i could get to grips with Sigma, everyone who moves from Rubi to Sig say's how much better they are but every time i try one they are pony. I know it's the way i'm doing it and not the cutter but i just can't seem to get this famous slither cut that you all talk about.....well nothing that my Rubi can't do anyway! Would swap in a second if i could get the hang of it.

With the rubi you just pull the breaker down with the sigma you sort of give it a slap

I use the Max, it's the push cut & I think they are brilliant, I still can't get on with a pull cut Sigma (although sometimes I do pull [emoji1])

Although this has nothing to do with how good these cutters cut and being someone who has always been a Rubi fan........... In looks alone i reckon if a Sigma and a Rubi had a fight the Sigma would definitely win, they do look like right hard brutes!

Rubi cutters are ok, but you just feel more confident that the Sigma will snap whatever!

To be honest I'm kicking myself that I sold my ts40, it is a great cutter for doing kitchen splashbacks etc.
I bought a 2G Sigma & I'm still not 100% sure about it, to be fair I haven't used it much so will keep persevering with it & see how I get on.

I previously worked for a general builder all tools supplied etc, done loads of tiling last 4 years and he had the rubi ts60+, after a knee op i've left my job and bought all my own tools and doing my own tiling and bought the sigma 3bm max and can't wait to give it ago when I return to work! Such great reviews be nice to witness it for myself
