Tile trends.

How do you see the trend in tile choice for 2013. ?

Are you seeing an increase in tile size maybe or maybe vibrant colours coming back ?

White tiles with black/silver/aqua type glitter mosaics for walls & black porcelain floor tiles seem to be my main customers choice this year. Most have no idea what they want so end up picking these from my portfolio. I've done 4 full fits this year with the same or very similar tiles, same suite, same shower & same spotlights.

I have seen a trend towards more porcelain/ceramics than stone so far ... will see how the yr pans out for tile choice and i am seeing more glass being used.

Big tiles seem to be the order of the day round here, had the TX1200 and TX900 out a couple of times already this year. 3 bathrooms already done in brick bond as well, that seems to be a popular pattern choice again.

fitting alot of feature glass panels with a basic coloured ceramic /porcelain tile
they seem to have a riven finish to them and are a nightmare to clean down, a lot of the catalouges are pushing mosiacs it seems

It would get tiring if tiling is all I done lol. Every bathroom has there own unique twist & layout & I always try to do a little something bespoke in each one to pull it out from the crowd. Makes a difference

Been doing lots of 600x300 walls stacked landscape with vertical mosaics. Looks a lot fresher than broken bond on walls these days.

I was in CTD today ... i see they had some new displays up ... BRIGHT coloured tiles 500x200 .... oh not bright colours again.. :lol:
