Thanks to all of you who have replied to my pervious threads

I have decided to install plasterboard on 3 walls and Tile backing board on one wall which will be having the larger/heavier floor and wall tiles on it. These tiles are Porcelain (QRock tiles) sixe 600 x 300mm each.

What size (mm) tile backing board would I require?

the plasterboard and tile backing board will be going onto brease block type bricks whats the best way to install these - batten or....

Regards
Simon

If you are bedding the boards solidly to the walls then you can use thinner ones but if onto battens etc then 10mm min..

best way i can think of is to dot and dab with mechanical fixing by that i mean screws .
basically what do is cut board to size then dot and dab thinly then before it goes off make holes through thr board into the wall screw your screws 2 turns into the rawl plugs and bang them half the way in the wallmake sure the heads are big enough
