Hi everyone, are there any other suppliers of Thin Porcelain Tiles? I’m particularly interested in a white porcelain of approx 600mm x 1200. I’ve got some porcel-thin samples but I’m unsure that the tile I have is white enough, my customers says it’s too cream.

Thanks for any replies.

- the tile I had from Porcel-thin was the Paris-white.

List is endless these days.

A friend of mine owns Porcelthin Ray Smith
Have you actually asked Ray what his whitest white is?
And another friend owns Stone Gres Garth Marnoch

I’ve looked at the porcel thin ranges but haven’t asked ‘Ray’ anything as I only just found out who Ray is. :)

The maximum size I can realistically go for is 120 x 60 as anything larger is beyond my capabilities.

When I was looking at porcel-thin, I only needed 30 tiles so not the biggest order in the world.

Ok, we’ll have you not called them and asked them which is their whitest white?
Apologies for not being more specific, I shall remember tho. :D:p

It’s still over 20m2 an order is what it is, everyone is grateful for whatever they can get nowadays with so much competition about.

Cheers gents- customers wants a Matt White.

I’ll ping over an Email to Porcel-Thin in a moment and ask. Budget also comes into play as we have a £2k limit on wall and floor tiles. Floor has been chosen. Getting desperate now as I’m starting the job next month, deposit already paid. I’m the personal shopper :(

So if budget is set and floor tiles are bought, how much is left in kitty.
Finding a matt brilliant white is not so straight forward because of the finish, it’ll absorb light making it appear less brilliant.

Floor tiles are about £600, so wall we have £1400.
It doesn’t have to be a brilliant white, just whiter than the Paris white porcel-thin. Funnily enough I have two samples of the same porcel-thin tile which I got at different times. The first sample is much much whiter.

These are the two tiles. Actually the photo doesn’t show the differnce. Batches have massive variances.

Oh well, I finally convinced the customer to go for that White porcel-thin only to discover they are out of stock for the next six weeks. If anyone knows of an alternative, I’d love to hear it.

Managed to buy the Porcel thin.

Found a supplier. I made some good savings in the end.

Just need to find a decent supplier of CaPietra Encaustic tiles for the floor.
