I need one 2m strip, any ideas how much a roll of this stuff costs seperately.

Can I use any brands tape for my tub of mapeigum?

The tape is for one internal in my shower, floor to ceiling.. If I use a good quality silicon, then do I really have to use the tape?

The shower tray is being fitted after the tiles, so there will be no water proofing tape round the bottom, so if the silicon will be ok for the bottom albeit a double seal where theres always gona be water always hitting it then surely the one internal will be ok?

Thanks.

I dont think I have ever come across a shower being fitter around the tiling before. As above, any brand. Many people dont use the tape, the choice is up to you but just be aware that it is usually worth following the manufacturers guidelines just in case anything goes wrong. If it was me I would do it just for piece of mind.

yeah your right i will get some tape for piece of mind.

he just said he was fitting shower tray after? is this not the best option and are there reasons why? (is it for the purpose of the double seal like a bath)

Usually the shower tray is in place before you tile the walls, then the tiles are cut down to the tray and this joint is siliconed to give a water tight seal. I suppose it doesnt really matter as long as he does not leave any water traps and makes it water tight.
