Skirting boards

I am tiling the bathroom walls but not the floor which is to be cushion floor.
To do a good job should I remove the skirting boards and tile behind them before replacing them or I can I start tiling above the skirting?

Generally it is better to tile your walls to the floor, lay your cushion floor and then plant your skirtings on afterwards, that way you will see it's full profile.....Gaz

Thanks for the help guy's. Good tip about putting them on last, will make it look much neater.

I have to have boards as not all the bathroom is to be tiled.

in a bathroom it is normal practice to leave a gap at the bottom of the wall otherwise it will suck up water from the floor. The skirting hides the gap but Tom is right, tiling the floor and doing away with the skirting would work

I thought they were there to tell you where abouts to cut the wall paper. Cannot recall seeing these skirting thingies when on holiday abroad, maybe its a British thing. :lol:
