Just had to post a thread on the fantastic glide this stuff provides to your ctting machine

For years I've only ever used WD40 or 3in1 spray, but since joining the forum and taking advice from a handful of members I decided to ditch the oil spray route and try out Silicon spray - due in the main to my fear of rotting the rubber on my beautiful new TS40plus and TX700N models:smilewinkgrin:

Anyway I've never known a Rubi glide so well and the smell is lush:lol:

All I can say if anyone is still using oil spray of any description, DITCH IT, and get yourself some of this Silicon spray, thus prolong the life of your machine in the deal

can i make a suggestion, you can also buy Silicon paste (it actually comes in a very small tub and has the same consitancy as vascelene), you can happily use this on your rubi, but you can also use it for its main reason - thats for plumbing, main use for me is on the flush cone and main waste seal on a WC! (its not uncommon for us to put a toilet back in after tiling this stuff perfect for it), you buy it at builders and plumbers merchants

yeah used that a few times for connectors on soil pipes, problem is I think grit and dust will still get stuck to it when using for sliding parts

this is the spray i use, i've refered to it as Silicon spray before but it is in fact PTFE

No , the Silicon spray doesnt collect the dust and grime like wd40 thats why its the better lube ( just ask wivers)...

i much prfer tingle gel... buy it nw in all ann summers and tescos stores.
