Shower Cubicle Grouting/Sealing Question

When grouting a shower cubicle, I understand that the corner wall joints and shower tray joints should be sealed with Silicon.

Should these joints be grouted first and then sealed with Silicon, or should they be left grout-free and the whole joint be made with Silicon?
