Rubi bridge saw or dewalt d24000?

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Hi everyone. I would like to invest some money in a wet cutter and can't decide what to go for?
What are the pros and cons for both?

thank you:hurray:

I have a dewalt, I also have a montolit bridge saw.
The dewalt plays out a lot more than the monty.

Dewalt is a good all-rounder and the bridge saw comes into it's own on large stone jobs.
For instance, 1m porcelain needs 20mm taking off it's length - I use a Sigma cutter.
Same with stone it won't fit the dewalt so it's a bridge saw job. (or grinder if I can)

I'm not a fan of Rubi tools since I've seen the quality drop in recent years and I've had completely useless after sales warranty service on tools.
Dewalt customer service though (via Roy) is an absolute dream.

Basically the bridge saw mainly will be used for large stone jobs, I think I made up my mind towards dewalt. Although mainly my tools are makita. Does makita making any tile cutters?

Makita make a pants little handheld wet saw - only suitable for laughing at really.
But they do make this: MAKITA Industrial Power Tools - Tool Details - 4100NH which I can't comment on.

I use a Makita 9565cvl which is brilliant aside from the rubbish switch.
