Hi all

diy tiler here doing mainly my own work on rental properties

ive just bought a used ts40 from ebay

arrived today.... Problem is the cutting arm. You really have to push on it and it doesn't cut first time. My mate has one and it cuts tiles with a flick of the wrist with hardly no pressure. This one you almost have to palm it from above if that makes sense

any ideas on to remedy ? Can arm be adjusted or is this a common problem

tile cutter has seen little use

thanks in advance

Tested on Cheapo ceramics ... Only used small scoring wheel although it came with a larger one

Sounds like it needs oiling. They tend to clog up but easily sorted, just common sense really. Unbolt it, clean, oil then reassemble.

Great cutter the ts40 for ceramics.
Like ramie said, just clean it up but I'd just buy a new cutting wheel, they do wear away
