I'm soon to do a job fitting a replacement electric shower and retile of the shower area.
I've searched the forum for the answer but haven't found the exact answer I'm looking for.
Basically my question is this:
Once I remove the old tiles, if the plaster (either board or directly on brick) is undamaged, do I have to re-tank the area?
I'm assuming yes since I won't know if it was tanked initially. But I wanted to check.
I'm also assuming I'll have to make good the wall or fit new plasterboard as I doubt I'll get the tiles off without causing damage.
Cheers
Jay
