I bought some Black Starlight Quartz tiles from Tile HQ for my kitchen and love them! When ordering I was advised to seal them and so I purchased LTP MPG sealer (for polished tiles).

The builder is due to finish the job today and told me he would leave sealing until last... however he is now saying he has done his own investigating and they do not need sealing. He SAID he tried some on a tile and it wiped straight off so it would be a waste of time. Basically he said he's not going to seal them and see if I can get my money back for the sealer! :helpsmilie:

I'm very uneasy about this as I wonder if he just can't be bothered - the job is already running late.:sad_smile:

What will happen if they are not sealed ? and if I was to do it myself is that the correct sealer for these tiles please?

Many thanks in advance for any advice :8:

thats a first.......a builder thats right.!!!...

He only found out by coming on this forum, what's more alarming is that Tile HQ recommended they be sealed. Do you think the salesperson thought they were granite by any chance?
