Price issue, restoring old victorian floor

Your thoughts if possible.

We are at a situation with a client about our pricing for restoration works.
Spec:[TABLE="width: 384"]

Clean off, recondition , replace damaged or missing tiles with replica tiles to match existing 112m2


We have quoted £147m2 supply and fit

they are stating they are looking at £75m2

Tiles are fron Craven Duunill-jackfield
with tiles ranging from £1.25 to £8.70 flowered
The mosaic design they dont make any more so we will etch these ourselves £250
who would you feel is nearer to the correct rate.

We also have quarry tiles to replace.

they are stating £32 m2 supply and fit.....

Tell them unless they stop looking at there price and start looking at yours then they need to be looking in the yellow pages for someone else to do it!

Unless your desperate for the work and happy to work for half your original qoute.

MY thoughts exactly

theres a lot of work there i have quoted them what i feel a respectable rate.
on the quarry tiling i have rated the supply of the tiles at £34m2 thats before we fit them.

There is alot of work there, but it needs to be done at the right price, and have dealing with Craven Dunnill Jackfield (great company!) i know just how expensive these tiles are to supply and fix.
So they can get it done for half you're cost thereabouts, let them do it. I don't think you've overpriced at all.
