Powdered wall tile adeshive stud walls

If tilling a plasterboarded stud wall am I ok with normal powdered adeshive or do I need flexible thanks.

Minimum S1 tile adhesive and tile primer on the boards first.

Whats S1? I was going to use powdered mapei adeshive just wondered if need the flexible stuff like for floors

I have some s1 now. What would it be like if one ever needed to remove the tiles? It would destroy the plaster boards below?

Yes, it would damage the plasterboard.
