Hi, i need to polish the profile edge and the sides of polished crema marfil marble.
Can someone tell me the recommended grit sizes i should use on my wet flex to get the polish? What speed number setting should it be at for marble.
thanks very much

Re: Polshing marble

if you go to a stone mason supplier you can buy a set of pads sort of 1 - 6 , 1 being say 100 grit, pass each pad, using your wet polisher over the edge about 10 times and you should end up with a real nice finish, machine speed, medium to high is what I use, going higher as I go up the scale, ok Mate, Cheers Steve aka ozboz,

Yep agree with steve..

100 / 200 / 400 and finish with either 800 or 1200 grit will bring them up nice.. speed 2 on a flex is spot on i find..

any one prefer the paper pads to the diamond ones? I find the paper ones better myself and find the diamond resin pads seem to darken the stone the through the higher grits

|Depends on the quality of the pads Gary.. Green faced diamond pads can darken light coloured stones.. so yes then paper grits are great..

But some diamond pads are ok.. so best to shop around..
