I have a plasplugs contractor cutter 150mm and was wondering if it would cut 9mm porcelainit has the standard blade on it at the moment as ive only been cutting ceramic so my question is will it cut if i take it easy and do i need a different disc??
:huh2:

I Think That Cutter Will Cut Upto 22mm So Use Plenty Of Water In The Tray And Score Tile Then Run The Tile Through The Cutter Slowly, you Could Always Use A Grinder If It Cant Cope With All The Cuts.

Thanks thats a big releif that the cutter should cope and scoring along with takin it slow make sense too, no mention of the disc should the standard disc be ok then or do you recommend an upgrade??

The Wheel Supplied Should Be Ok Dave But You Can Upgrade Bthe Blades Chech Out Buybrand Toole I Think They Sell Them.

If its a pretty big porcelain job then id upgrade to a porcelain blade. It will speed things up alot and you will have the blade for again. Plus it will be easier on the wetcutters motor.

Hey davie , yeah its about 7m2 of 600x600mm ,9mm thick tiles so guess its not too bad or is that worth a new porcelain disc and if so any suggestions?

A Marcrist blade every time, eats porcelain and lasts for at least a year. I would do 30-50m of porcelain a week as most floors and more and more wall tiles here are porcelain.
600 by 600 can be a pain in a small area as there can be alot of cuts, depending on your set out, but the breaker will snap all your straight cuts: with a bit of practice!
