have I missed something connor? are base tiles on brick bond, oh yes,on the mozzy, which is the shortest length to a corner? I'm guessing that the other borders are following the one that is upside down, so it might be a strip out to the corner. Must admit I didn't see it at first, was to busy trying to see if base tiles were bb
please please can the brother in law be the same as you doug... lol

thats nice innit mock at my mistakes..... i would be more sympathetic... HONEST

Sorry mate, I was laughing at Daves reply and not your tiny mistake.

Gezzz..... I've tiled walls before now fully, then noticed I forgot to add in mosaic borders, so your minor fumble ain't much

i have made a decision and am going to leave it. they will have spares over and if they notice it i will replace it. being a bit mean here but we have over run by about a day and a half already because we had to strip off all the old wallpaper and the junk in the loft had to be moved which they promised they would do. if i can get away with it super duper, might even be able to get the towel radiator to cover it..... IF THERE IS ONLY ONE WRONG????????????????????????????????????????
gonna try and redeem myself here, there can't be only one wrong unless it's in a corner, or on th next mozy along you've got 2 sugar lumps together:hurray:

yes Feks i tiled lots of them then found the border when some smart arse has come in the room and said have you forgot something

if anybody ever goes to lakes and stops at regency hotel in ambleside, look at the border behind the door, left a trademark upside down border in 20 en-suites!! they were horrible peeps to work for:lol:

I'd say that is a very easy mistake to make with those borders mate, so you certainly shouldn't beat yourself up over it. It wont look horrendous and it's not a big deal if you do leave it. I have to say though - personally I would fix it for 3 reasons 1) it's for someone you know, and as someone said earlier - chances are they will take great delight in pointing it out to you if they notice 2) it's for someone you know - so every time you're at their house and see it - it will annoy you ! and 3) I think if you have a bit of wasted time and hassle sorting something out, it's worth it because it makes the error stick in your mind, so the next time you have something that is very easy to mix up ....you'll be saying ...hmmm, I remember that job and I won't be doing that again ...therefore - I will do x to make sure It doesn't happen

If it is only the one length of border tile you have a problem with, you could just take the longer little brown ones out, shorten each one up a couple of mm and put your small cream squares in .....nobody will notice that

Every job I do, I always tell the person I've made a small mistake and say "let me know if you find it" ......it never fails to get them to spend quite a significant amount of time appreciating how GOOD your work is !!!
