What weight is your Montolit has it cut everything you have used on it perfect
Only tile I have had trouble with is a heavily riven Pietre de Keope full body porcelain...had plenty of power but the riven surface prohibited a good score so the tile broke along a "fault line" if you see what I mean? Weight wise can be carried in 1 hand.

When I first started out, I purchased a Rubi Tr600s and a Montolit 24. The Rubi seems to tackle everything I need it to and fits nicely over a bath. The Monty is spot on for small jobs and splashbacks. I'm gonna be getting a larger Rubi soon, but that is because I like Rubi's and I am doing a lot more large fomat stuff now.

When starting out, you are best sticking to the smaller format jobs until you have gained more experience and confidence, so the TX may be overkill for your initial needs...

Is the weight quite restricting then for he 700 or do you forget about it after a while? Couple of months eh, any idea how much lighter it'll be?

the big one is quite heavy, the smaller one is a tx700

I think i've seen that pic about 10 times and i've only been a member for a few weeks Doug! I've never known anyone who loves their TX700N like you do (you could be partly to blame for my desire to get one!)

I get what Captain Slow is saying although is the 600KG breaker on the 600 underpowered for the bigger stuff? Are the breaking feet close enough together for for cutting small mosaics like Dave says the TR400s is?
