sorry lads but i would never use any water based adhesive directly onto plywood i've seen too many jobs where the tiles have de-bonded,i either use latex plus or cover the floor with ditra matting first, they made these products for a reason and not just to make more money, costs a bit more but i,ve never had to go back to a job to re-stick loose tiles,
toon army,

Hardibacker is good as well..

I like both....some say it is over kill.. but i like over kill rather than failure..

welcome aboard mate..

Keraquick is a more versatile product than Mapeker.

Keraquick can be used to tile over most surfaces where as the Mapeker has more limitations.

In addition to this the Mapeker cant be modified to s2 classification (unlike the Keraquick when used in conjunction with the latex plus)

On another note, I have noticed that some people are under the impression that when a bag of adhesive say 'polymer modified or highly enhanced' that it is flexible or suitable for use over ply this is not the case. This realy just means that it has enhanced charachteristics. This could be something such as high grab, open time or extended pot life etc. So please bare this in mind when selecting adhesives that you may not be too familar with. With big manufacturers you can alway call the technical helpline who are usualy able to advise or answer questions.

when looking for a flexible adhesive look for signs such as s1 or s2, I know all manufacturers dont label the classifications on the labels. An easier way I guess would be to read the label. lol
hope this helps:thumbsup:
