Hi All

had a few emails from that British gas backed company called "local hero", it looks ok on the face of it, you register with them, get sent works to quote, they charge the customer the invoice and pay you have they take a "small" percentage for their fee, not sure on what value that is, but has anyone else gone down this route for extra work and has it worked out, be interested to know.

I believe there is no subscription charge or any fees to quote for the jobs unlike the other similar style company like checked and vetted.

Thanks

I really don’t like these company’s that use tradesmen to make money like this. If your quiet, spend money on advertising or visiting tile shops and get your own jobs that way.

What you going to do if the customer has a dispute over the work . You can' take them to court as their contract is with local hero's if that is who they are paying you would have to take local hero's to court . Good luck with that

I'm good for work, got work booked and more to look at into Jan 18, just saw it as opportunity for a bit more.

The way I read it was, they invoice the client and collect it, pay you less commission, they guarantee the work and if an issue arises you the fixer return and make good.
That's the way I see it.

All you can do is try it, if it doesn’t work for you then don’t bother with it
