Every few months the Lidl near me have a 3 day clearance sale in an empty unit and all the stock is for next to nothing.

Anyway, called in today and there were bags of 750 decent quality spacers for 50p a bag. Was in the process of filling a basket and then two other local tilers came in and we managed to clear the stock between us. £11.50 got me 17,250 spacers and the other lads took the rest, but they're putting more out tomorrow so hopefully have another 20,000 if I get in early enough. :lol::hurray:

Worth keeping an eye out in your area if they do similar clearance events.

Just had a look at them there and it turns out the 2mm bags actually have 1000. :drool5:

You gotta love Lidl and Aldi. they really do seem to be supplying the right goods at the right time, well-priced food but also stuff that people need for work or leisure, without the big aircraft hangar approach the big 4 supermarkets seem to be adopting in their stores (stack em high, fill em full).

I've grabbed some awesome bargains over the years.

They like shifting stock, sometimes at a loss, so money isn't tied up in it. Brilliant for the customers.

Only gripe I have is their fruit and veg doesn't last long at all as it's usually imported and has taken a few days to get here.

Newtownabbey between Harvey Norman and Halfords. Got another 30k today. Needless to say they have no 2mm left in stock. 😳

Only size they didn't stock are 3mm but the 4mm pegged on their side will do nicely. :lol:
