Laser Attachment for Wet cutter - Any Good?

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Never seen one before but on speculation looks like it could get in the way when cutting

B&Q Warehouse sell a wet cutter - a make called "McAllister"
Its got a laser on the front of the plastic spray guard.(at the top)
However - the "L" shaped bracket which holds it, is held in with 1 screw
and if this comes loose, the guard swings / moves - so the laser line is off.. ......
Reason I know this, is because I bought one!
I noticed this was a design flaw when i was building it up - so i repacked it & took it back for a refund!!
Since then, i noticed they sell a bigger wattage one and this one has got 2 screw holes holding it. :mad2:

I have now purchased the Verstile cutter (750w) and wondered if this laser was any good.....

Just a gimmick, if you've marked your tile, be it pencil, china marker, or other, that should be enough, as for a guard, that comes straight off :thumbsup:
