Hi All
Have justed used Mapei Keraflex Maxi for the first time and was very impressed.
I am now wanting to use Mapei as a regular first choice of adhesive.
Have a bathroom soon to do on plaster/plasterboard and am planning to use Keraflex which i'm sure will be fine.
Would anybodies experience suggest an even better Mapei product for the majority of standard bathroom work.
Thanks a lot
Kev

If you want to use cement based adhesive then i would suggest Mapei P10...as it has a long open time.

Thanks for response Brian
I was looking and the Keraflex has the same pot time as P10 of 8 hours.
There very similar in where to use, colour white, trowel, etc.that's why i was asking for folks preference.
Tiles are 250mmx330mm ceramic
Cheers
Kev

I use Mapei Keraflex Maxi as a matter of cause nowadays, or Ardex X7W. You'll have no problems with it on bathrooms. Make sure on plaster you acrylic bond the walls.

P9 is great for bathrooms and suitable for porcelain as well..

P9 is more for walls , it can be used on floors but just concrete, screeds.

Keraflexi is like P9 but not for asphalt floors or insulation type backer boards..and i think P9 is better with porcelain..

So if you can get P9 go for that , better alround adhesive...but keraflex is good..

Cheers all
Reason Aflemi i'm using cement adhesive is it takes away any uncertainty of should it be tubbed or not.
I chose an adhesive that has a long pot life,it takes 10 mins to mix and mix a full bucket if required.
Also if at the start of tiling i decide to use a deeper notch then it's no problem to do so with cement adhesive.

i'd go for mapei p9, however i'm just using a new product from weber called weber set plus which is ideal for large format tiles on the wall including porcelain for less than £10 a bag including the dreaded!
