How did the Tiles break

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Hi Help me please, I am currently in a care home as a Result of a Head Injury in 2001.The 2 Images are of my Shower Room within my room and in both Images that section of the Shower Room I have no reason to go there in my Power Chair and I can tell you something for nothing if I hit that wall in my power Chair I do a lot more Damage than that. The wall is a false partition I think made of plaster board and tiled over.

A description of the Evidence as proved in G27-10 the Adhesive for the Tiles prove not to be there in Top Qtr and what I think happened is when the shower pointed at the Wall/Tiles it gone behind the Tiles and Dissolved the Adhesive and the Water gone behind the Tiles and the sheer weight has pulled the Tiles off the wall? In Image G27-BrokenTiles Perhaps someone can explain to me how the Tiles have cracked possibly 2 or 3 Inches under the Join because you would of though it would break where the Tile Join?

I’ve had no specialist help this and I am not a Trades Man and honestly not making money from this, it for me personally. Can you please state if you have any Training in this subject Many Thanks Daniel

Hi @Spangal Thank you for joining the forum. I am sure that some members will be able to assist you with your query. We have many very experienced tilers on here that could give a clue as to what may have happened.

Looks like dispersion adhesive has been used and can be effected by water ingression. You also have mould spores and that is a health risk.
You will need to remove all effected areas.
Impact damage to that section is allowing water in as well.
