Hi and welcome. If it had sagged or slumped you would no doubt have seen it on the finished floor as you would have ended up with lipping.

As already said if the grout is intact and no tiles cracked then i dont see his point? Unless he is unhappy with the finish, which im sure you would have known about before now. Has he said that any are moving?

:welcome:to the forum

this guy sounds like he's chancing it a bit,he must give you the chance to rectify the problem before he takes court action, this would mean letting you into the property to discuss and check out the tiling in question.i would contact him and go from there, when you are there ask him to see a copy of the report as it should detail the "problems" if they do actually exist:thumbsup:
i also think he should have contacted you quicker to explain his concerns,i'm not sure what the time limit is for raising court action but it might be worth checking out:thumbsup:

Have a look at the 'Supply of goods and service act' you will find that they can go back a number of years IF the job hasnt been done properly.

Didnt i read that a report from the TTA is in the region of £800?

:welcome:to the forum, as Scott says the TTA charge around £800 for a report. There are only four people in the UK qualified to do this, call his bluff ask for the name of the person who did the report. I know them all:thumbsup:

Hello and welcome...

Personally i think you need to at least seek legal advice and ask where you stand... do this ASAP to help your case.

thanks everyone for your comments. I have just found out that the guy who he got round wasnt qualfied to give a report! He has been instructed by the court to get a chartered survey in to give a report if they are hollow, but he is adamant that he doent want them to rip them up?? so i dont get it? how would you know for sure if they where hollow or not? No cracks in grout or tile, no movement no lipping!
