Hi Everyone,

Just a post to introduce myself to the forum.

I think the forum is going to be invaluable to me over the next year.

I recently decided to take the next step and hopefully gain enough experience to make tiling my future career.
My plan is to work my training around my current job.
I have already completed an intensive course and I'm currently enrolled on a plastering night course. Next step is to complete as many friend and family jobs as possible taking my time and concentrating on quality of finish. Then hopefully speed up to a point I could actually make money.
In March I plan on doing two more courses, 5 days Natural Stone and 5 days Wet room and Screeding.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers Joe.

Thanks for the welcome.

My tiling course and the future ones I'd like to do are at Able skills. Plastering is at the college locally that run various full and part time courses in all the trowel trades.

I'm definitely going to take my time and get the skills I need. I have no interest in being a cowboy, if I don't have confidence in my ability to do a job to a professional finish then I won't be doing the job.

Thanks again.
