Hardibacker v decoupling matt - Tile Advice

Folks hope you can help.

Shortly due to tile a bathroom floor, which is wooden.

I'm replacing all the floorboards with 22mm t&g P5 chipboard, glued and screwed.

I'm not sure if I'm best then using 6mm HB over the top to tile onto or to use decoupling matt instead. Don't know if it makes a difference, but there will be a freestanding bath on the tiles.

Guess its all down to experience but just wanted to get the view of others.

Hardibacker.. matting is for lateral movement

Hardiebacker as this helps strengthen the floor and eliminate any potential "bounce" in the floor. Matting serves an entirely different purpose and will only be relevant for you, if you are installing underfloor heating in the area.
