Q

quick draw macgraw

Hi All,

Doing kitchen splashback in the morning with mosaic affest solid tiles with grout line around the perimiter of tile, therefore do i butt tiles up against each other cos if i use 2mm space it will look like there's about 6mm. And if i do this do i still grout the tiles. Help starting at 8 in morning.

Cheers Steve.

hi steve mate..yes just butt the tiles edge on edge but make sure to leave slight expansion gaps against cupboards etc then silicone , some of these type of tiles require you to grout the whole tile including the face and then it looks like individual mosaics and some just the joint ........dave...

Thanks Dave so butting tiles to tiles dont result in them cracking with heat contractions etc.

No!! as long as they can expand in either direction then no probs..silicone to tops and cupboards..with slight gap between tile and top/cupboard. and use flexi grout just to make sure..........dave..
