Foam for fixing cement boards

Had heard about this, supposed to replace adhesive AND mechanical fixing?

I got the hard sell the other day at a CTD promotion, I was offered more Hardie FOC if I bought the foam.
I said I wasn't convinced, then the Hardie guy just switched off and walked away!!

Hope that's note a full 1200x800 board or else how big is that can of foam!!!
