use a small mitre box and cut the trim standing up,u will get a good fit.Sometimes you need to use a small file to get perfect cuts.

Use a small mitre box with a good quality hacksaw (32psi)
Also get yourself a small clamp from B&Q to hold trim in place, and a fine tooth file to make every cut perfect.
and then practice lots

try a trim cutter , this will cut at an angle and works like a pair of scissors you just need to replace the blade every so often

Well I bought the 'trim cutters' as they seemed a good idea, and they are for internal corners with plastic trim.

However for external corners I always use a mitre block and hacksaw with fine teeth, and for all with metal trims.

You just cant do external mitres with a trim cutter as you have to stand the trim up so to speak and this just doesnt work in the cutters.

For finishing, either fine sandpaper or the rub stone I find very good

thanks col but i been practicing with my cutters and if u turn the trim upside down and snip off the bit that goes behind the tile u can get a very good finish very quick for external corners.:ninja:
