ever tiled with broken up tiles masqerading as kitchen tiles

Anybody worked with crappy italian tiles that have been broken up - possible from larger floor tiles.. in a crude way to give an irregular edge?

Ay mate worked years ago with Stenbok, dutch tile, they pressed them in one slab then snapped em off at 10x10, back edges always hampered spacing them.....crap:mad2:

worked on franky&benny,s restaurants. 3 different coloured quarry tiles
smashed to pieces then layed them around main counter . then we grouted with charcoal grout . what a night mare. have fun

just done a job 1 tile was about 10mm out of square spent more time sortin through tiles trying to find good 1's than doin job nightmare!
