This could maybe turn into a poll?

How many of advertise on your vehicle's and have you noticed a difference in doing so?

I have had mine sign written for 2 years and only had 1 job from actually seeing my van, i have had more work from FREE advertising!..so...waste of money?

Opinions please 🙂

I never did because I was a bit of an aggressive 'White van man' driver. Didn't want anyone knowing who just pushed in at the front of a contraflow queue :80:

Just have the back of mine done and it has got me a fair amount of work, once someone took my number in Mac D's drive through!

No, never have, too many do-as-you-likeys where I lived in U.K, was worried bout brerakins if I advertised I was on the tools and my paranoia has followed me to Norway. Employed now anyway so no need to advertise. Plus I have a Fiat Doblo as my work horse and don't want my name on it, get pointed and laughed at enough as it is driving the bloody thing ;-)

I'd say its 50/50 of the vans coming into us.......I don't get not sign writing it tbh, free advertising.....

Oh, I'd also go one bit extra and have a QR code on the back.......so when your in a traffic jam ect someone can get get their smart phone out and scan the code, they will then have your website/contact details.

Thats not just a everyday van bri lol!....if yours is a van then mine is a shed. a rotting shed!..nice idea tho to keep it small and simple...i have my whole van covered think ive gone off how it looks tbh!

My van sign writing cost me about £150 and was worth the money. Its parked outside someones house all day - free advertising.

Maybe some do not sign their vans in case they get caught out when signing on day comes

I've never bothered, don't like people knowing who the van belongs to when I abandon it on double yellows to nip to the bank or shops!!

I don't due to many years ago some contractors did'nt want sign written vans on there jobs, never bothered since and would'nt know if it would bring more work or not.

yes..and not got one job from it when Im driving..but my girlfriend drove it 1 day and got 3 people asking here for her card !!!..I think i might where short skirt and heels from now on !....actually ive just looked at it on the drive and its got the wrong phone number on it!!!!!!..no wonder

always had vans, but have never had them sign written, do not want to advertise what tools are likely to be on the van overnight, all my work comes from word of mouth and regular builders work.

Ive lost count of the number of jobs ive gotten from neighbours in the street ive been working in..........or when ive been parked up in Mcdonalds carpark with a salad  and someone has come over for a business card. Its defo worth the outlay to get ya van sign written

You can price your sign writing to match your budget - no need for a £1000 Sky van signwriting job - often a simple "J Smith, Wall and Wall Tiling Specialist, Tel 0118 121212" for 50 quid is all that's necessary. A lot of my customers are telling me that they struggle to locate good tilers locally (so they ended up having to chose me :lol🙂 and so they will often pick numbers advertised at any location. However I think that van sign writing is also an opportunity to sell your personality as well as your skills - so spend as much or as little as you want do what appeals to you - I reckon you may pick up more trade because of it. And Dave is right. A blank van is a blank cheque for every heroin addict struggling to pay for their next fix.
