Need to buy a new diamond wheel for my wet cutter.

Just wondering what you use

Marcrist is the best ive heard but the most expensive. not to sure about sankyo.

What do you think

If a marcrist wheel out performs cheaper wheels and it last longer etc then its not expensive.
Simply the best i have tried.
Tried all these
Norton
Sankyo
Beava
DTA
Plasplugs etc

You think marcrist are expensive at about £40 a go..then try the rubi porcelain blades..they are about £85 a go....that's why i have the marcrist..... ....in my flatbed wetcutter and a rubi CVG for cutting glass.....

Just bought a Plasplugs Diamond wheel from b&q. do you think its worth it or shall i go for the better ones. will it last ???
----
Only thing is ove noticed on it it says it the Glass cut. Says it "cuts sheet glass cleanly" dam think ive bought the wrong one

i bought a diamond wheel for my Briccy, Tysfoot. Mine was for glass, I was hoping it would be ok for porcelain......not a chance!

i wanted an alrounder so it wont cut thoughr ceramic or porceliein, may as well take it back

A glass cutting wheel will cut all fully vitrified materials.....That includes porcelain..but the depends upon the blade quality...marcrist turbo blades will cut anything ( tile wise) and that includes glass.......

Got to agree there Dave. My blade that I bought for my Briccy was from The Briccy manufacturers directly. Hoped it would cut quarries but it was no better than my original diamond blade. The Marcrist for my Rubi is excellent though. In fact I do believe Marcrist say if you find anything that it won't cut, they will give you your money back.

ok cheers. just bought the big plasplugs mastertiler 180mm and the marcrist diamond wheel, cant wait to use it.

Only thing is the mastertiler seems like a big machine. Do you still use yours for small jobs like splashbacks and small bathroom or do you use a smaller wet saw

I still use my Briccy for small stuff. If you have ever seen the Rubi DW 250n you would realise you don't move it unless you have to!!

whats the biccy
Briccolina, made by Siri in Italy. Great little cutter, quite and very frugal with the water. Very easily portable.

Whats the bore size you require for the Briccolina grumpy? I think we can get special sizes made up! If you let me know I could find out for you.

Neil

Hi Neil, thanks for the offer. The Briccy has a 25mm bore but there is also a locating hole in the blade as well. I think only SIRI do blades for it but please try see what you can do.

Used the Bricy many times nice little cutter but at £120 you can destroy and dispose of 4 plasplugs cutters for the price. Too many people think that spending more money will improve their tiling skills, not so, if you enjoy throwing money away go for it. Not used my Rubi ND200 for 6 months, my Plasplugs can do anything that my Rubi can albeit much louder, but hey, I have been trying to destroy my Plasplugs for around a year and it keeps coming back for more.

Thanks Neale

We do our best! If anyone needs anything, no matter how obscure, I will try and sort it out for you.

Neil

Do you ever have problems with the riving knife being thicker than the blade once you've upgraded to the marcrist or the even thinner top end norton?

I seem to have this problem everytime, got two blades and can't do much with them as I can only cut few inches before a full stop and I don't like the idea of forcing the tile through.

Has anyone got an old blade that they can send me, and I wil try and get something sorted.

Neil
