have seen it done on grinders and routers etc. The dewalt RCD won't set if you try an run it half voltage, sorry

Cheers for a quick response David:thumbsup:

After some consideration, I think for the type of jobs that will insist on 110V, I wouldn't need the D24000 anyway:thumbsup:

240V it is then:thumbsup:

No issues here with chipping. I havent used the same materials as Rikcardo but the mitres done on some highly glazed ceramics were perfect everytime. I didnt mitre through a tile though, choosing to mitre the finished edge and leave the tip of the glaze intact....if that makes sense.
I have mitred Travertine through the tile and had no problems

Standard wheel still in use.

Hi Sir Ramic
Makes sense to me, but most of my work is Natural stone 2cm thick and around 110mm wide with both edges cut at 45 degrees for the on ends of walls, so they have to be chip free.
i normally cut to size then cut the mitres as you do but I was hoping to speed things up if I could just cut through the tile at 45 degrees first off.
thanks rikcardo
P.S can't wait to take on sight next week 50x50 Porcelain should make things easier and quicker:lol:
more time for :8:
cheers Rikcardo

Just to let you know.

Dewalt are putting up there D24000 prices 1st June, we will have to increase ours once the current price stock runs out. (don't worry we will buy plenty before) Not sure how much they are going up yet, better off not waiting to long if you thinking about it.
