Hi everyone, I was just hoping someone could help with an issue I have.
I have a male flat mate with an obsession with using excessive amounts extremely strong hold hairspray. I estimate he goes through 1 can very two weeks.

Obviously this hairspray coats my bathroom in gunk, which for the most part I can remove from the walls, sink shower glass etc, but I have tried almost everything I can think of on the floor tiles but cannot remove it. These tiles are :

My latest idea is to try rubbing achohol, however I expect this will also remove the sealant? I have sealant I can use to replace it afterwards, but thought best to check with an expert to see if this is a good idea first?

Any help would be much appreciated

P.s. this is the hairspray being used :Schwarzkopf got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray 300ml - https://www.superdrug.com/Schwarzkopf-Got2b/Schwarzkopf-got2b-Glued-Blasting-Freeze-Spray-300ml/p/562963?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2efrBRD3ARIsAEnt0ei3-xd37TEMIQJ4aDu7_iE93jTT7kzvnsT9Ux3nU9ylCUEqyzzz6hcaAiX-EALw_wcB

Many thanks

Wow this is a new one for me! haha

So washing it with a soapy water isn't cutting the mustard? Like, as in, normal mopping kinda thing?

Don't use anything strong like alcohol or nail varnish remover etc. That's going to affect the tiles.

Any suggestions you get, you want to test on a small area.

I'm tempted to say something like this: HG extreme power cleaner 1L - a powerful floor tile cleaner for the removal of grease, dirt and stubborn staining.: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools - https://www.amazon.co.uk/HG-extreme-power-cleaner-staining/dp/B002QGQOS8/

But again, not sure to be honest!

Once they're clean. You might want to seal them with something. Maybe a @Lithofin BOB related something or other. Where's Uncle Bob these days when you need him?

Does @Mapei UK Marketing or @Nicobond have anything for this kinda stuff?

Hi, just some further info, the instructions on the tiles where to seal them. The fitter said they didn’t need sealing, but he was a bit of a cowboy so I sealed them anyway. Was not easy, I assume they were pre sealed as the sealant was not easily absorbed and took lots of wiping.
Are you saying that after cleaning I need to seal again?

Ps I have tried hand scrubbing with a hard brush with store bought general cleaners, bleach, vinegar, bicarbonate soda, no joy so far

If you have already sealed the tiles the staining could be contamination of the seal, in which case removing the seal may remove the problem. Check which seal you used and how to remove and trial in a small area.
