Classifieds System (IN TESTING ONLY)

Please feel free to click the new "Classifieds" button in the main orange menu bar at the top of the forum. It's only in testing at the moment as it uses a third party website as the backend.

Buy and sell SECOND HANDS STUFF ONLY! (Nothing brand new unless it was an incorrect purchase or unwanted gift etc).

This is for members only, not tile shops and tool websites and whatnot.

THIS IS IN LIVE TESTING - SO YOU CAN BUY AND SELL ACTUAL ITEMS. BUT THE SYSTEM MIGHT NOT STAY AROUND. WE WILL HAVE TO SEE WHAT WE THINK ABOUT IT.

Note that anything you list must be for sale, and anything you buy, you're committed to pay for.

I have and will be listing a few fictional items - but that's just so we can see what it looks like and how it performs.

Again - This is LIVE and you CAN sell stuff on there.

To be honest mate I didn't realise it was like an integral eBay style thing. I don't like it being like that we could end up with all sorts of stuff being listed that's nowt to do with tilers.

Needs a bit more testing I think.

I could see it being useful with the right sort of setup but it seems we're quite limited as to how we set it up. Seems it's on or off type thing.

I upgraded the forum and saw the button so thought I'd click on. Ha

Could you not set it so only members with *** number of posts can list on it (also you could block support accounts like mine so commercial companies can't list). Say a minimum 30 posts it then stops people registering just to sell.

Would it matter if it were non tiling stuff as long as it were members posting it?

Can set it by user group and whatnot. And can block various groups etc. Can't stop anything from being posted by the looks of it though.

I wouldn't want any old tat being sold on it I don't think. Not sure what we'd end up with. Perhaps go up for a vote that maybe see what the members thought of it.

Got a couple of Rubi cutters I was going to put on Ebay so saw this as a another outlet,but perhaps not if they have issues.Ill get them on the for sale section on here first
