does anyone use them?

Been looking at the ETC180 which looks pretty good value to me but just wondered if anyone has any opinions on them?

Other than that also looking at the plasplugs dww180

Out of those 2 i would opt for the Plasplugs. The Clarke type are very common and you could get a similar model even cheaper but they dont seem to last. Spot welds holding the table on can break loose and if i remember rightly the motor is lacking in power, also noisy. They may have changed over the years but i doubt it.
Why not push the boat out a little and get something like this
Rubi Electric Tile Cutters (Wet Tile Saws)

thanks ramic, i might go for the rubi and i know dave did a good review on it.

just trying to keep costs down thats all but at the same time i dont want to compromise on quality to the point where i have to scrap it and buy again..

You hit the nail on the head their mate, if cheaper stuff was as good then the higher priced gear wouldnt sell.

One of my favourite sayings picked up from the forum is buy cheap buy twice.
