as a customer, not a ruler, my input is that the people doing this either haven’t got the skills, or equipment, or both to do a proper job. Having botched it is as best they could manage, they know it’s a shocking mess, and are dreaming up ways to cover up their mistakes, ie jumbo right angles trims. My advice would be (a) tell them the tiles around the window will have to come off, walls made good as needed, and if they can’t cut a porcelain tile, to pack up their stuff and discount from their invoice the cost of getting someone else in to fix it - say £300. Fair enough?

I would get a reputable tiling company to come and quote to fix the issues. In that way you’ll get a free independent assessment of the faults, a written cost to rectify, and can deduct that from what you pay the builders if they can’t properly sort it. It’s awful when people who are supposed to be professionals do a shoddy job and leave the customer with a mess and still look to get paid. I hope you get it sorted ok.

So the corner trims have been installed today, while this does look a bit better overall, I do see a significant gap between the trim and tiles, I suspect they would need to grout it? The gap is due to the fact the tiling is soooo uneven under the trim! Thoughts?
