Hi all,
Today i plastered a ceiling, i havent done one since i broke my ankle in october last year, and i have to say it was the first time my ankle actually felt ok since i broke it, i was a little off balance at time but i was working off steps. I havent been able to run on it untill march just gone.
I broke it land boarding doing silly jumps😳, my foot came outta of the binding and the board span one way and my body fell another, cue a nasty snap noise, and my foot danagling disconnected from my leg:yikes:...cue 8 weeks off work (that'll learn me for not having personal accident inscurance at that time:mad2🙂 2 weeks after i came out of my cast i went snowboarding for a week in the french alps, didnt make it feel much better.
Any one broken any bones and struggled with the recovery ?

think everyones got a tail to tell , many years ago i was working 14 hour days and seeing a new girlfriend about 20 miles away ,was working for a builder then fell a sleep had a head on with a lorry ,the driver said he saw me comeing down over this hill straight at him ,he tryed his best by driving up and in to the hedge to get away from me , the dotors said i got away with because i was a sleep ,being so relaxed , so very very lucky the only thing i did was cuts and pushed the ball of my foot about 2" up my leg , im ok in shoes but walking bare foot i limp , so anyone reading this i would say , only work a 12 hour day ,give the girlfriend a cpl more hours :thumbsup:

no you lost count cause your broken fingers arnt straight anymore so it makes it difficult

right shoulder skiing on the 1st day it was hurting all week but when i picked my suitcase up to go home it snapped
few ribs

17 stitches in my leg after jumping through a fireplace in the middle of a pub in ledbury
its an old club tradition that i got wrong bloody everywhere but i didnt realize due to beer protectors i thought someone had poured their pint on my leg

cant think of anything ave not broke, most recently broken clavical (collar bone)and ribs at the same time, worst injury ever, had to sleep on the chair for 3 weeks, thought a wiz never gonna heal, but hey presto 9 months on am jist aboot back to norm woohoo!:hurray:

Both little fingers and big toe. I think i also broke metatarsal bone in my foot, and possibly done another one today! Its been killing me all day

Three greenstick fractures of the arm when a small boy. They investigated as they thought I might have a bone problem. Eventually they worked out that when I fell instead of putting my hands out I was crossing my arms over my chest and breaking one arm over the other. The first time I did it was tripping over my spade on a beach.

Nothing major, but the last 2 things I broke were my thumb (writing/tiling hand) and I cracked my heel bone.

The thumb was awkward as I was told to have a few weeks off, but I couldnt afford that, so I worked really slowly left handed for a week or so. Wasnt ideal, but I got through it. Broke it playing footy 🙁

Heel bone, what a pain! At a party, someone had a really old phone and decided to smash it on the floor for a laugh. People were taking it in turns to try, and me being drunk and confident said "stand back, I got this!", placed the phone on the floor and leapt in the air and striking with my heel. Phone obliterated into small pieces, but I was dropped to the floor clutching my foot! Hurt SO much! And recovery was slow. No cast as could just about walk on it, and they dont for heels, and cause I was using it, had a numb pain for about 15 weeks!

As a kid, I broke my right arm up near the shoulder playing footy, broke my wrist being stupid on a school trip.

only broke a small bone in my foot. not bad considering i played rugby for 19 years. broke it at training kicking a football about 😳

to many to mention.i was out with a broken leg and snaped cruciate ligament for 4 months in total, had to have a full knee reconstruction, times were hard, even had to sell my van, all playing rugby, im still playing now, stupid i know, here is my latest injury, the specialist says i need an op asap, all the ligaments in the finger are knackered and its as bent as an arabs dagger, the finger next to it with the small scar has got a metal rod and pins in, gives me jip when tiling sometimes, just cant afford to down tools at the mo
