Backscimming?

Hi all,

Just a quick question. is this litteraly scimming over the back of the tile with the flat side not notched before bedding into addy on floor? i am laying my kitchen its ceramic so not sure if i should do it on these or not thanks all. Rob

as above, I always back skim floor tiles

I always use a round notch trowel, gives a good solid bed easier.
